Info

Outside IN, a dance solo for an extended body, is a project under development in which choreographer and dancer Anatoli Vlassov experiments with latest technology: the wireless endoscopic camera PillCam, which allows him to literally plunge the gaze inside his dancing body in real-time. What do we see when we turn our eyes inside? What secret inhabits our entrails? How do we look at this unknown body and how does it look at us? How does medical imagery transform the 'body image' not only through its representations, but also through the kinaesthetic and choreographic experiences that it provokes?

As a collaboration with Julie Salgues and Mathieu Bouvier the project Outside IN - a danced conference, develops alongside the intersections of different choreographic and technological, medical and aesthetic, somatic and neurobiological practices in order to explore the relations in between perception, fiction and representation.
