General Terms and Conditions of Tanzquartier Wien GmbH for use of the online media library (GTC)
The online media library of Tanzquartier Wien has been created to provide all those interested with an overview of as many of the performances, artists and works of theorists shown since the foundation of Tanzquartier Wien (2001) as possible and to make them accessible for research purposes. In addition, the online media library is open to all artists and theorists working in dance and performance in order to upload their own works, independently of a performance at Tanzquartier Wien (= Open Space Austria). The film material may be viewed on the premises of the TQW Media Centre free of charge.

All videos and the contents presented to you are protected by copyright. The videos in the database may only be viewed; it is not permitted to download videos or to exploit them in any other way. Inquiries regarding further exploitation may only be addressed to the holder of the rights and/or granted directly by the holder of the rights. Holders of the rights to the filmed contents are the artists listed in the copyright notice and/or the credits. Tanzquartier Wien is the film producer of recordings of its own shows.
2 The following shall apply to online streaming
No registration is necessary if you want to use the online media library. In order to use all features of the media library, in particular to view the film contributions which are only accessible if individually approved by the artists or Tanzquartier Wien, you must truly enter your first name, surname, home country, email address and set a password. Stating a physical address is optional. The data provided by the user will be treated as confidential in accordance with the provisions of the Austrian Data Protection Act [Datenschutzgesetz/DSG] as applicable from time to time and will not be forwarded to third parties. The name and description of the requested video will be transmitted to the artists for individual activation.
3 The following shall apply to uploads to Open Space Austria
Registration, which is necessary for uploads, requires one-off entry of a username and password, which may be chosen freely, as well as your first name, surname and a valid email address. Additional optional information will be shown in the entry mask. The personal information provided by the user will be used by Tanzquartier Wien to activate the upload function (within 7 working days) and to inform users of changes. The data provided by the user will be treated as confidential in accordance with the provisions of the Austrian Data Protection Act [Datenschutzgesetz/DSG] as applicable from time to time and will not be forwarded to third parties. The biographical information, credits, contents and similar information entered to display the works will be displayed publicly when you watch the uploaded contributions. In the case of uploads the following information will also be visible to other users at all times: username, number of uploaded videos and the time of the upload.
By uploading content the user represents vis-à-vis Tanzquartier Wien that he/she possess the rights of the authors and cast members of the cinematographic works uploaded by him/her, including the rights to the filmed works which are necessary for free streaming online and in the media library of the TQW Media Centre to the approved extent and he/she shall fully indemnify and hold harmless Tanzquartier Wien from and against claims of third parties in this respect. Tanzquartier Wien reserves the right not to publish or to delete videos which violate applicable laws or infringe rights of third parties (such as e.g. copyrights or trademarks) or which display pornographic, racist, slanderous, insulting, violent and/or discriminatory content or which are not suitable in terms of quality at any time.
4 Availability
The online media library of Tanzquartier Wien has been extensively tested. Tanzquartier Wien cannot, however, guarantee that the server will be available permanently. In the case of server failures, maintenance work, etc. it may happen that the database is unavailable for an unspecified period of time without prior notice. Tanzquartier Wien also reserves the right to discontinue these services.
